Organic materials, yard waste, and clean soil are compostable and should be taken to designated areas.  Please, no plastic bags, paper bags, wire, or string. All materials must be loose. These materials are accepted at Lander Landfill, Riverton Bale Station, Dubois Landfill, and Sand Draw Landfill. Yard waste must cross the scales (in order to track weight), but there is no charge to dispose of it.

Through a cooperative arrangement with the City of Riverton, the District has wood chips and screened compost for sale at the Riverton Bale Station. Please call for current prices. People interested in purchasing larger volumes of compost or wood chips should contact the City of Riverton.
